Patient Information

We recommend having a cleaning and checkup twice a year. However, depending on your specific oral health needs, we may recommend you to visit us more often than that.

Regular dental exams are important because they help to keep your teeth and gums healthy. During a dental exam, we will check your overall oral health for any trouble areas. During the cleaning, your dental professional will remove any plaque and tartar buildup and may polish your teeth.

If you can wiggle any of your teeth, it could be a sign of gum disease, so consult your dentist immediately. The same rule applies to any crowns or fillings you have. Dental work can become dislodged over time and harbor plaque and bacteria, so always be on the lookout for any spot that appears to be loose.

Understand your oral health needs. Develop and follow a daily oral health routine. Brush, floss and rinse daily. Eat a well-balanced diet and try to eat fewer foods that contain sugar and starch. If you use tobacco products, quit. Visit your dentist regularly.
